Assay Requirements Checklist

We frequently discuss creating and improving assays with customers and prospective customers.

After an initial meeting to chat about concepts and objectives, we exchange NDAs and arrange another meeting to discuss details.

Some customers have a very clear idea of what they require. They have prepared Product and Marketing Requirements Documents (PRDs & MRDs) and we spend time running through the importance of each aspect of the required product.

At the other end of the spectrum, others only have the germ of an idea, with no 'must haves' or 'would like to haves'.

Most lie somewhere in between.

There's no 'right' way to approach a project. A 'wrong' way is to change the requirements or withhold information that later becomes critically important. To make sure that the important bases are considered as early as possible, we've created a checklist.

Each assay is different and some characteristics will be more important than others, but if you have (at least) considered the requirements on the checklist from the outset - the development project will progress in the right direction.

The checklist is free to download. We hope you find it useful and if you are looking for a specialist to help you develop an assay, please get in touch.
